Why the CT5-V

Why thieves want your CT5-V.

The Blackwing pairs a supercharged LT4 with keyless start, like every new car. That second part is what relay crews count on. An immobilizer means a relayed fob still gets them a car that won't move.

On the CT5-V, your code goes in on buttons the car already has, like the steering wheel controls. Nothing new gets mounted on the dash, so there's nothing for a thief to spot or rip out.

01

Keyless start

Push-button start and a proximity fob make it a relay target.

02

Supercharged LT4

Same engine family as the ZL1 and CTS-V, and just as valuable to the wrong people.

03

Newer means nothing

A newer car's factory security still trusts any key it's been taught to accept.

How the code works

No code,
no start.

Try it. Hit START without the code, then put the demo code in on the wheel buttons. That's what a thief gets with a programmed key on your CT5-V: the first part.

IGLA vs Spynex

IGLA or Spynex?
Same goal. Here's the difference.

Both keep the engine blocked until your code goes in. Both hide on the CAN bus. Here's where they split, straight from each brand.

"Had a great experience with 12 Volt Shield Pros! Junior installed Spynex on my vehicle and did a great job. He was quick, knowledgeable, and answered all my questions. He even came to my location, which made everything super convenient. Definitely recommend!"

FAQ

CT5-V questions.

Still wondering about something? Text (562) 686-4749.

Will an immobilizer void anything on a newer Cadillac?

Spynex taps the digital bus instead of cutting and splicing factory wires. Ask us about your exact car and we'll walk you through the install before we start.

Can valet or the dealer drive it?

Yes. Turn on service mode and they can start and move the car without your code.

Is the CT5-V V6 covered too?

Yes. We protect both the Blackwing and the twin-turbo V6 CT5-V.

Are you an IGLA dealer?

No. We install IGLA systems, and we're a Spynex dealer. If you've been looking at IGLA, text us your car and we'll walk you through both so you can pick.
