Last of the line
With production over, a clean ZL1 is getting harder to replace every year.
Chevrolet · La Habra, CA
Spynex and IGLA immobilizers for the Camaro ZL1, ZL1 1LE and SS. Mobile installs around La Habra, Whittier, Fullerton and Brea.
Why the ZL1
Chevy stopped building the Camaro in early 2024, so a ZL1 with a supercharged LT4 is one of the last of its kind. That makes it worth stealing, and worth stripping.
On the ZL1, your code goes in on buttons the car already has, like the steering wheel controls. Nothing new gets mounted on the dash, so there's nothing for a thief to spot or rip out.

A proximity fob inside your house can be relayed to the car in the driveway.
A supercharged LT4 is worth real money on its own, with or without the car around it.
How the code works
Try it. Hit START without the code, then put the demo code in on the wheel buttons. That's what a thief gets with a programmed key on your ZL1: the first part.

IGLA vs Spynex
Both keep the engine blocked until your code goes in. Both hide on the CAN bus. Here's where they split, straight from each brand.

"Had a great experience with 12 Volt Shield Pros! Junior installed Spynex on my vehicle and did a great job. He was quick, knowledgeable, and answered all my questions. He even came to my location, which made everything super convenient. Definitely recommend!"Jonny S. · Google review · 5.0 on Google

A relay can still open the car, but the engine stays blocked until your code goes in. The Spynex Tag also goes silent when it's sitting still, so there's nothing to relay from inside your house.
IGLA is built to be invisible to diagnostic tools, and both systems are hidden with no LED or extra button.
Yes. Service mode lets the shop work on it without your code.
No. We install IGLA systems, and we're a Spynex dealer. If you've been looking at IGLA, text us your car and we'll walk you through both so you can pick.
